RAIN BARRELS
Our barrels are made from recycled food grade drums. We use high quality brass spigots that accept a standard garden hose. They come with an overflow fitting and length of tubing to either divert away from your foundation or hook to additional barrels in series which will increase your reserve capacity. There is also a downspout adapter along with a piece of screening included with each barrel.
We recommend:

Placing barrels on an elevated surface to increase flow and utilize the most volume of the water collected.

Only using the water on your lawn and garden.

Using a mosquito tablet in the water if you notice activity.

Keeping any odor away by simply using the water every ten days or adding a cap-full of chlorine bleach and wait a day before using.

Draining your barrels before the first freeze and storing them upside down in your garage, shed, or basement.

Painting your barrel to compliment your home’s color scheme.

Ex. 1000 sq. ft. of roof area can collect 600 gallons for 1 inch of rainfall.
